WHAT’S NEW IN RALEIGH NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION?

After all the reports of high competition for homes, you may wonder if you’d be better off going with new construction in the Raleigh area. There’s certainly plenty of activity both North and South of downtown and RTP. Depending on which area you are interested in, here’s just a sampling of what’s new in new home construction options available in Wake County.

NORTH RALEIGH AREA NEW CONSTRUCTION

Belmont

With 7 different floor plans available, these lovely homes from Drees Homes offer families and couples all sorts of options designed to fit what today’s buyers are looking for in a Raleigh home. The amenities offered at Belmont include a large clubhouse, pool, and recreation fields for children and community members to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. As with all these Wake County homes, the school district gets high grades, making this community ideal for families with school-aged children.

Wykoff

Wykoff is a small, upscale, 59-unit townhome community from MI Homes that gives buyers the best of both worlds when it comes to lifestyles. You’ll enjoy a quiet neighborhood at home, yet are just minutes away from Raleigh and North Raleigh’s bustling culture, shopping, entertainment and business districts. Homes are in the low $500s—and with only a few locations still available, they’re unlikely to last long.

Raleigh Proper

For those with bigger families, or simply in search of luxurious living, the Raleigh Proper community has several new construction estate homes available (from $1.6 million), also convenient to the capital city. The landscaped surrounds, wooded lots, and unique designs make this a spectacular place to settle your family. Most plans feature 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, and these Homes by Dickerson can be completely customized to fit your personal preferences.  Nearby are local parks and Shelley Lake for afternoons of adventure.

SOUTH RALEIGH

Continuing the home-building boom of the past 10 years, there are plenty of new construction options in southern Wake County too, including:

Jones Farm

With homes from the $400s built by Capitol City, Jones Farm is south of Raleigh, not far from Fuquay-Varina, and conveniently located to various shopping, restaurants, and I-40 interstate for easy travel. This community is a newer development and has lots of new construction being built and room for more options that can be customized. These are ranch-style homes, with most being 4-bedroom, 3-bath, with beautiful open floor plans.

Fairview Park

With just a few properties left, Fairview Park in Cary features new construction homes from Mattamy Homes. All single-family home plans, they promote luxury living with a convenient commute to either Raleigh or RTP—and easy access to all the shopping, entertainment, and activities that have made Cary a favorite for years. Choose between 1 and 2-story homes for your preference and enjoy large garage spaces.

Kennebec Crossing

This neighborhood from Robuck Homes, coming next year, promises to feature one- and two-story, single-family homes (available with either upstairs and downstairs owner suites), and townhome properties. Roughly midway between Angier and Fuquay-Varina, this will be a convenient commute for those working in downtown Raleigh and the southeastern surrounds.

These are just a few of the new construction homes currently in the works in Wake County and the greater Raleigh area.
